I've got myself a N64 - that brings some childhood memories back! I played Zelda Ocarina of Time and 007 Goldeneye with friends :-) Good old days! But unfortunately I sold mine years ago and now needed to buy a used one for my retro collection.

The question is, how can I get the best picture out of it? Of course I run it trough my GBS C Pro upscaler. The N64 default cable, which comes with the console is Composite. But back then, there was also an S-Video cable available, which has much higher quality.
What you need to know: Depending on the region and model, the N64 is NOT capable of outputting an S-Video picture. For example, some PAL N64 consoles are lacking this feature, for what ever reason.
That means, that my N64 - which is an US model - should be able to output the S-Video signal. Don't ask me how I ended up with a US model as I'm from Germany... but lucky me.
I played around with cables and settings on the upscaler, but no luck. Means "No Signal". Then I found out, that I would need a NTSC S-Video cable, which is not easy to get. Got one eventually, but still not working

After 2 month, I'm still with Composite Video signal :-D I really don't know, why it's not working for my console.
